Discover the city via the brigde
Crossing the bridge by bike is a perfect way to discover the city outside of the center. The Kop van Zuid peninsula is constantly developing and is known for its popular buildings such as De Rotterdam, the Montevideo and the Maastoren. You will find Hotel New York at the end of the Wilhelminakade. This building used to be the headquarters of the Holland America Line.
Are you crossing the bridge in the direction of the city center? You will then pass the historic ships in the Veerhaven and you can visit the old quarter Delfshaven. An historic part of the city with the pre-war atmosphere.
Around the Erasmus Bridge there are several special events, like the World Port Days, the Rotterdam Marathon and the fireworks during New Year.
